Another Nail Night (:

Okay, I know I may get a little redundant if I keep posting nail polish pics, but my loverly mother asked me to do her nails today, so of course I said yes... and saw it as an opportunity to make a new post! She wanted a Tiffany blue color, but I don't have that so I used a base coat of N.Y.C. "French White Tip," then one coat of Bon Bons "Aqua." (I think). After that she wanted some fancier element so I gave her the white tips using the same N.Y.C. white color. And after that, I just couldn't help myself from overdoing it... so I gave her a leopard pattern :D I think I did better on myself than I did on her, but that's okay. For the leopard I used a Bon Bons color in a coralish orange-ish hue. I'm not sure what it's called because I couldn't find it on their website, like the other one, but the number on the bottom says 0090, I'm not sure if there is any significance to that number, though. Then I used N.Y.C. "Black Lace Creme," to do the outlines on the leopard. Once again, thank you mother dearest for being my gorgeous foot model, sorry I worked fast and it didn't turn out as well as I'm sure you would have liked it to :/

{Lovely Leopard Nails}

Today I decided to do a fancy mani, just for fun! Doing my nails is one of my favorite activities and I do it really often, because after all: life is too short to have the same nail polish for more than one day!! Today I went with a pretty ocean-ish blue with pink leopard spots! This was the first time I'd ever done leopard... can you tell? They were actually really easy to do! All you have to do is make polka dots in your color, then outline either side with a thin line of black. I made a homemade dotting tool like the ones on the blog --  thebeautydepartment.com. It is really just sticking a little pin into an eraser. Here is a link to the tutorial: http://thebeautydepartment.com/2012/03/mani-monday-7/.

Hello, and Welcome!

Hey guys! I'd like to just start this blog by telling you a little about myself. This school year I will be a freshman at my teeny tiny highschool in small town Wisconsin. However, living out in cow country has never stopped me from dreaming big. I live about an hour away from Mall of America and the Minneapolis Metro area, so I love to go to the cities rather than schoolbus races or the 4H show. I love all things fashion and beauty so that's what I'd like to dedicate this blog to. I am on Polyvore at http://geekchic97.polyvore.com/ and on Pinterest at http://pinterest.com/geekchic97. Hit me up if you'd like, I do plan on pinning and posting on Polyvore all of my posts here on All That Glitters. Thanks, and stay golden xoxo
